Happy National Smile Day!

Ahhhhh… I quit doing the whole national whatever day but I think National Smile Day is perfect right now. We all could use a smile.

I’ve been throwing some photos up this week. Don’t know how long that will last. The only thing I’m consistent on is my inconsistency!

Local news. There is an event at the Old Homosassa Learning Center.

Sounds interesting. Open to the public. And….I have heard that there is a fish fry and perhaps it’s free????? Just a rumour!!!!!

We understand that this will be an ongoing seminar. Maybe twice a year?????

Haven’t actually talked to Debra. Terry took care of this one–he did ask me if the learning center was okay to use. I will be there tomorrow when she sets up. If you haven’t been to the Old Homosassa Learning Center since we’ve done our updates, this is your chance! (and have a free lunch, maybe!)

Speaking of the learning center. Things are going so great there. Lots of kids are getting specialized attention. Lots of adults are enjoying the classes. And we are open to new ideas.

Deep Thoughts. I’ve been organizing the Old Homosassa Learning Center for a few years now. I had ideas. Great Ideas! But…..some worked out……some did a big belly flop. At a point, I finally realized that I just have to be open to the universe and accept what comes and goes. Since then. Everything has been wonderful. I really can not control anything. I just have to accept the offerings. So many great people have reached out to me. We have such a wonderful program now. Free to the kids. The adults pay the instructors of the exercise classes. A very low price. All the money goes to the teachers–and they are amazing. Our local Girl Scout Troop meets there. A piano teacher that charges $30 an hour to her private students is teaching four Citrus County kids for FREE! We have a ukulele group for the kids. 10 kids. Learning ukulele for free. And oh, yeah, Mrs. Keller who was a teacher at the local school retired and asked if she could have ten kids to teach art to. OMG. I have to remember to be open to the universe.

National Smile Day! That’s me right now.

I quite often think about just shutting this blog down. Is anyone reading? Where is this getting me?

It’s getting me right here. Being thankful for what I can give and all the love I get back.

Thank you to the Universe.

And have a great weekend!

Kathy
