My new DIY website is FINALLY up! Woohoo!
The URL is DesignsByKTGreen.com.
Not very original, you say? I tried all kinds of different combinations of my name and they were either taken or were a letter different. Like design instead of designs. Wasn’t worth the confusion.
Since I know how long it takes to get a following — I’ve been doing this one for about 3 years — I wanted to do something different to get new readers. A few days ago I saw that one of my favorite sewing blogs SewMamaSew was sponsoring a giveaway party. You can link with their website, which is very popular, and give something away. They have some rules that were pretty easy to stick with.
I had to think of something very quickly to create with whatever fabric I had in my stash. I wasted a whole day worrying about what I could make in that short amount of time.
So that’s how I started my new blog. And I’ve already had a lot of comments. I’ve never done this before so it is a learning experience.
I’m giving away two matching pillowcases. Not just any old pillowcases. These have “french seams” so there won’t be any fraying threads. Plus there is a flap that covers the pillow. Pretty cool. And I used my very beloved zebra fabric.
So here’s one of the pillowcases:
I know that you TOO want a chance to win these pillowcases. And you can. All you have to do is make a comment on my Giveaway post. Don’t make the comment here. It has to be on the Giveaway post on my new website. That’s the rules of the game. Click here! or Click here:
You have until Sunday evening to make a comment. The winner will be chosen randomly and I’m supposed to let the winner know by Wednesday and send out the pillowcases by next Friday. So many rules! (But they are easy!)
If you want to see the tutorial for the pillowcases or just more pictures of them, just go out to my new website DesignsbyKTGreen.com.
