We have been baking cookies for Christmas for about 20 years. This year we had a few less bakers but more cookies than we could squeeze onto the table. For 2011 we added Sherry and Barb. As usual, the baking elves were from Florida with the exception of Barb who arrived from Ohio on Friday and started the festivities a wee bit early. Then we had our returning elves Michelle, Donna, Yvonne, Vera, Angela, Catherine, Louise, Trixie, Maggie and me. Terry took the opportunity to play some golf and got a hole in one at World Woods. He made it home in time for photos and cookie tasting.
In 2010 we had the biggest group ever for cookie baking -- 13. Most of the bakers came from Florida--Homosassa, Brooksville, Gainesville, Tampa, and Jacksonville-- but one flew in from Brooklyn.
Returning baking elves were Yvonne, Donna, Jessica, Vera, Catherine, Michelle, Karen, Angela, Nicole, and myself. New bakers for 2010 were Cheryl, Mystry, and Louise. And, of course, Maggie and Trixie were there on their very best behavior. Thrown into the chaos were a wooden rooster, eye patches and fairy wings. Somehow that all made sense on Cookie Day!
Donna learned how to use my mixer in 2009--with Michelle's help. Lots of mess equals lots of cookies!
We celebrated a big birthday for Michelle in 2008.
Donna, Maggie, Jessica, Yvonne, Michelle, me, Karen, Karen's friend, Nicole, and Sara, were the cookie bakers in 2007.
No group photo in 2006, but we had cookie bakers, a few burnt cookies and lots of fun! Catherine, Donna, Ellen, Kathy Stein, Michelle, Vera, Yvonne, Mariane and I were the cookie elves in 2006.
Looks like I'll have to go back into my archives to get more pics!
