It’s Friday–Again!!

So. I’ve been sewing. And eating. And playing music. I’m quite determined to be an expert on my little ukulele before the learning center opens back up. Watching Youtube videos. Practicing.

Working in my yard. It’s amazing how all the flowers are responding to actually getting fertilized, weeded, and watered on a regular basis.

And taking pictures. And here’s some photos from this past week.

The irises continue to bloom like crazy!

Louisiana Iris
Bought this Louisiana Iris last year and it bloomed for the first time ever this week. It is such a deep dark purple my camera would not focus. Had to use my iPhone!

The irises will soon be finished blooming but now the day lilies are stepping up!

I was working on the front gardens and saw this bloom and said “oh first bloom of the daylilies and snapped this pic” Then went to the back yard and….

“Whaaaat!” This lovely lily was bright and shiny on the same day!

And from other parts of the gardens….

Bleeding Heart
Bleeding Heart. Just bought this on Monday. Did you know that plant nurseries are an essential business?
Don Juan Rose
This rose had so my blooms and they were so heavy, the roots came right out of the ground. And this rose has probably been there for 10 years. I had to wire it to the trellis and put more dirt down!
Angel Wing Begonia
Angel Wing Begonia and caladiums. I took a real chance planting these begonias in the ground last year but it wasn’t happy in it’s pot. Now it is glorious!

I received two gifts this week. Both pleasant surprises. My niece Michelle sent this banana tree to me from a nursery in Arizona. So cute! Instructions included! Love it! I have to repot it in May.

And my friend Connie stopped by with this homemade present from the heart!

And for DOG OF THE WEEK. This is Flyer.

We stopped by a neighbor’s house to drop off information. Flyer is the guard dog. More like, he wanted to go on a golf cart ride with us!

And I have TWO SQUIRRELS OF THE WEEK!

Terry built the little rodents their own picnic table!

More photos next week!
