Jesandy Jubilee Countdown! 4 Weeks!

The Chandelier is Ready!

What does a chandelier have to do with a countdown?

This was one of Michelle’s prized purchases at Renninger’s Antique Extravaganza!  Remember this?

Jesandy Jubilee Countdown!

Now it’s all beautiful and ready to go into her bathroom, but first we must have lighting for a Jubilee…..

And Michelle says, “Yea, the chandelier is done!! I painted it with a dusting of that ‘Looking Glass’ spray paint. You can still see the brass thru it, sort of. It makes it look a bit like a sterling silver or champagne color. I like it. The bulbs are 15w each so it’ll throw plenty of light, but not blow a fuse. Although, the 7w Christmas lights fit in them also.

Pay no attention to that messy garage in the background…I’m sure the neighbors were wondering why we were hanging a chandelier in our garage – doesn’t everyone?!
Everyone that is talented and recognizes that a chandelier belongs anywhere!

The final reveal…. in FOUR WEEKS!

It’s Spring!

The best time of the year in Florida.  Well, at least that’s my opinion.

We had a really mild winter but the month of March has been crazy cold on some days and beautiful on others.  I don’t go out when it’s under 60.  Seriously, that’s cold!  But on those nice days I’ve been in the yard and gardens working and taking pictures, of course!

Here’s a few snaps from my bird feeders,

It's Spring!
Northern Cardinal
I think that these are two female or immature male American Goldfinches. Could be wrong. But I was trying to get a picture of a beautiful bird with yellow body and black wings which was definitely an American Goldfinch. These two look just like the bright one, just a little duller.
I was trying to get a picture of a beautiful American Goldfinch that would not hold still for me.  These two showed up a little later and posed very nicely.  They look just like the American Goldfinch but not as bright so I’m guessing they are two female or immature male American Goldfinches. I’m waiting for an opinion from my Audubon buddy.

Tufted Titmouse (whoever came up with that name?)

The hummingbirds came back this week.  Or maybe they’ve been here but I just remembered to put up the feeder.  They wouldn’t hold still for a photo moment, though.

And one final picture for today…

It's Spring!
This squirrel came down to ask me when I would be planting tomatoes. I told her ‘never mind little missy, no tomatoes for your dining pleasure this year!’

Easter in Homosassa Springs!

Here comes Peter Cottontail?

Easter's Coming!

This giant manatee has been hanging out in Homosassa Springs since before I moved to Citrus County.  When he was at Halls River Road I used him for a landmark for visitors that were coming from north on 19, “turn right at the giant manatee”.  Never failed to get them headed in the correct direction!

Then he was moved over by the hotel and more recently placed in front of the Homosassa Wildlife Park entrance on 19–where he belongs!  Now he’s ready to help with the Easter egg hunt that the park holds the Saturday before Easter.  Lots of kids and lots of fun.

Easter's Coming!
And he even has a cottontail!

If I was a reporter I probably would have called the park to find out who came up with this great idea. But I’m just an observer that loves our newly decorated public art piece!
