Dogs in the Hood

At the risk of being known as the crazy dog blogger, I’m posting about pooches again today.  But it’s time for a new installment of Dogs in the Hood!

Gracie is on her way to the beauty parlor for some well deserved pampering. She’s a new puppy in the hood.

Woody is much more interested in loving on Maggie than posing for my camera.  Maggie did not appreciate the attention!

Here’s Daisy looking as sweet as she can–obviously a decoy to catch Maggie off guard. But the ruse doesn’t work, Maggie stays far away.

Still don’t know his name so I’m just going to call him Fuzzy.

Next week I won’t have quite as many dog posts!

Dogs in the Hood

Between having lots of holiday visitors and the chilly weather, my pooch picture taking has been limited.

We did get this of Ruby yesterday.  We haven’t seen much of this sweet pooch in the last few months since her unfortunate run in with the mail deliver’s truck.  But she’s healing well and we’re so happy to see her back.  In this photo she’s a little puffy around the mouth because she’s attempting to appear ferocious and growling at Maggie.  Just a wee growl.

Mingo is six months old in this picture which I took a few weeks ago.

And here’s what Mingo looked like back in July when he was 5 weeks old!

Mingo is turning into Mongo!

I’ve been asking for photos of your dogs.  Here’s a couple from a friend.  This darling little girl is well protected and loved by Codo and Bane.

And she obviously loves them back!

And finally, here’s Maggie having some fun in her back yard with some of our favorite small people on the last day of 2012.

I’d love to post some of your pet pictures.  Just make a comment and I will send you the email address.

And it’s the end of the year….

And we had a really wonderful one.  Full of lots of friends and family.  Travel–Superbowl, three trips to North Dakota, a weekend in NYC.  Terry here most of the time which turned into fun.   A wedding.  An engagement.

A sad note is that I lost a really good friend to cancer this year. Actually just last week. While I knew how ill she was, I was still not prepared.

We remodeled the powder room, master bath, and laundry room.  Created an office for Terry.

And After

I started this blog, too.  After having a website for about 12 years that I sporadically updated with family news, I decided to dedicate some daily time to a blog.  Started out in HTML and moved to WordPress which was a huge adjustment.

So that’s it for my end of year review.

But wait, we must have pictures of the pooch!  So here’s a year of Maggie:
