Homosassa Wildlife Park

We are regular visitors to the wildlife park, typically trailing behind grandkids that are running amuck. This time we took an adult leisurely morning walk around the park with the hopes of seeing some of the wild manatees from the viewing platform.  It was cold last week which usually brings them into the warmer waters of the spring.  Plenty of manatees and many other creatures were out enjoying the start of the day.

Happy 2013 Thanksgiving

Indian Manatee

We’ve never been a family with “traditions” regarding Thanksgiving–too many his, hers, mine, ours, and theirs, and to add to that the family is spread throughout the country.  This year Grandma Shirley, Terry and I are feeling very fortunate to be spending our day with gourmet chef Michelle and family.  Every year she peruses all of her cooking magazines and books and whips up a feast.

Last year we were in North Dakota with some of our extended family!  Here’s a few photos from that special day.

I hope you have a great day. My office is now the guest room so I can’t get to my computer without disturbing Terry’s Mom so I won’t be posting tomorrow. But I’ll be back next week!

Winter is Coming

Ok.  I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan so anyone that doesn’t watch it, that’s a reference to that GREAT show.  I should probably read the books but they are so BIG!

Anyhow, sorry about the weather to the rest of the country.  It’s getting cold here, too, but nothing like you have.  I didn’t have anything to write about today and just went off taking pics.  And here they are, before winter destroys all my floral beauties.
