Friday Meanderings

Another two weeks have flown by.  Throwing this together in the wee hours of the morning to just let everyone know that I’m still here!

Good things are happening here in Old Homosassa but all those good things are keeping me very busy.

Working with a dedicated group of local residents to get the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners to fund the Old Homosassa Heritage Park.

The Old Homosassa Learning Center is BOOMING!  The Sew Cool! Workshop that meets every Thursday is just about out of room!  The after-school program is meeting Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and the kids are loving it!  The Yoga classes and Tiffany Beck are a blessing to our community. And we are in the beginnings of starting a ukulele group!

Because so much is going on, I’m considering shutting down this blog.  Most of my followers have moved on because my posting is so sporadic.  I do post for the NatureCoaster.com and on DesignsbyKTGreen.com.

Anyhow, got stuff to do!

So, I’ll say

Have a Great Weekend!

Kathy

Friday Meanderngs

Sometimes I try living in a bubble.

But then I look over my shoulder and discover that all hell has broken loose!

As Donna commented a few weeks ago about my statement that I was going to have oodles of time…..

Not happening.

Just like the fishing seminar we had a few weeks ago at the learning center where I expected 60 and probably got 120.

kids

Started out with 6 kids on Monday so thought the program wasn’t going well.  Then there were 16 and then there was an article on the front page of the local paper.  How many will show up today?

It’s fun!  But I’m there every day for at least an hour.

Stopped by Watson’s Gallery to check out the “Paint for Paws”

Gil and Wendy will be hosting more “Paint for Paws” events in the future.  All proceeds go to Snippit Citrus.

This weekend is the Cobia Big Fish Tournament. Ok. I don’t actually fish in the tournament but we do bike down on Saturday morning and toast the send off. Then we work the OHHC booth. Then we toast the considerably depleted group heading out on Sunday.

Fun!

Have a great weekend!

Kathy

Friday Meanderings

I’M BACK!

I’ve missed a couple of weeks.

And now I’m going to throw a lot of snaps here that will probably not be in any special order.

Friday Meanderings
Yeah. That’s an angel in my garden. I need all the angels I can get. Right?

That’s the shortest wedding EVER held in my back yard. Seriously. So many hours of planning. Ceremony with the pastor was 15 MINUTES. Reception was about an hour. Everything was packed up and put away in less than two hours. What??? Why bother??? No. It was seriously beautiful and the bride and groom were lovely. But. Wait. Where was the party?
Friday Meanderings
Just a flower that I thought was perhaps prettier than the some of the others.
Friday Meanderings
T-dog and me looking very happy that the wedding was over and everyone seemed to be happy!
Friday Meanderings
Just a bunch of black-eyed Susans.

My new favorite wine. Smile! Thanks Melinda!

My new favorite photo of my ND grandkids. I TOTALLY LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Too cool for school teenager, adorable lovable 3 year old and the total future princess that knows her brother will most likely whack her in the head any minute but Mom said come on guys just pose.

Puppy that was being auctioned off at Ducks Unlimited. Poor puppy was so loved all night. He went for $2,400 to Pam MacRae. She told me she would have gone to $3000! That pooch is going to be well loved!

Courtney graduates from 8th grade with great grandma at her side.

Jes and Andrew went to Paris. This guy was setting up a photo shoot with a GOLD DINOSAUR! What! That’s my thing, right?
I’m totally devastated that someone has grabbed my golden dinosaur photo ops. So I guess I’ll have to start taking snaps with the silver guy!
That’s Jessica MacRae that has totally saved my life from the Learning Center!

And that’s it!  More to come!  Eventually.

It’s sum-sum-summer time and the living is eaaaaaasssssyyyy! (and the hurricanes are right around the corner)

Have a great weekend!
