Friday. Safer at Home.

I wasn’t going to bother posting this week.

Because there is nothing going on.

And how many flower pictures can you look at?

Plus, my dog of the week picture was awful. It’s hard to get a still shot when all the dog wants to do is play fetch! “C’mon, throw the stick–again, again, again!” And then she was exhausted and slowed down a wee bit for this pic. That is one pooped pooch!

Diane Bedard, the publisher of the NatureCoaster.com reached out to me about writing an article about the Homosassa River Restoration Project. She guessed that I might know some of the people on the committee. Yes. I might. So in turn, I reached out to Steve Minguy who is the President of the non-profit group and he gave me a status report. Good things are happening!

Here’s my article just in case you are bored and need something to read: Cleaning the Homosassa River.

And I gotta show some flower photos, right?

My first gardenia! I have had this plant for years but it wasn’t happy where I originally planted it and I finally stuck it in a big pot a couple years ago. And we have flowers this year! Woo Hoo! Smell AMAZING!
My orchid is having a baby! What????? I thought we might have a flower. But then all we had was leaves. And I was like….what is going on here? I did some research as to why my orchid was having leaves rather than flowers. It’s a baby! Now I have to get some new orchid potting soil and plant the baby! Two orchids that don’t have flowers! Woo Hoo!

New Category! Views of the week.

Storm’s a brewing!
View from Mason Creek boat ramp. Tides high!

And here’s the dog of the week! I don’t have a name but that dog did not like me!

Come one step closer and your fingers are gone!!!!

Squirrel of the Week!

Terry had to move the rodent picnic table because they were dropping the bird seed and then they couldn’t get their head under the table. Rather than using their cute little paws to grab the seed. They chewed up the table. Yeah. That makes sense!

Nasty little creatures. Terry and I have a difference of opinions on these crack rats.

Have a super weekend.
