Took them home yesterday and then spent some serious time napping.

Sheeesch.

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I was shutting down the DIY website.

Maybe a bit pre-mature.  Perhaps a result of exhaustion from doing toooooo many meetings, toooooo many projects, tooooooo much politics.

I’ve been missing my sewing machine.  And then my sweet Addison–the 9-year-old granddaughter–said she LOVES my DIY blog.  Oh geeeeeze.  I told her that I was shutting it down.  Noooooooo!

So now I’m having second thoughts.

I actually think that she likes checking it out so she can make sure that I’m not making more for Piper than for her! “What!  Piper has a mermaid tail blanket????”

And I told Addison that if she took photos of any DIY project she was working on, I would post it.

I’m so indecisive. If you have been following the other website, I’ll have a QAYG post up next Tuesday.

So what’s going on this weekend?  Hey, it’s Easter.  Christ is rising.  Isn’t that enough?

Have a great weekend!

Yes, I went to Banjo Camp!

Cervany Center

And, while I hate to bore you with my banjo stuff, I must.  It was amazing.  I spent three days at Suwannee Banjo Camp in Live Oak at the Cervany Conference Center. Total banjo heaven.

Yes, I went to Banjo Camp!

So, besides all the wonderful views, there was a lot of banjo classes and picking.

You might not follow the banjo world, but the instructors were the TOP of the field.  And both evenings we were treated to a concert by the faculty.

Wow!

And I came home with another banjo.  Used.  15-years-old.  But WHAT A BANJO!

More about that in a future post!

Two banjos, a baby grand, a tenor ukulele and one kids guitar. My collection is slowly growing!

Friday Meanderings

It’s Friday!

(My favorite day!  Oh no, it’s my next favorite day.

Sunday is definitely my favorite day.)

I dither.

Today is the Friday that I go to BANJO CAMP!

Yippee!

So excited.

But kind of sad that I’m missing the Shrimpapalooza.  The best golf cart parade.  Ever!  Too much fun. And the Shriners are bringing their little cars!  OMG!

So I’m missing the parade.  And so is Terry!  He’s working the Homosassa Civic Club booth.  He’s got mermaid t-shirts and posters to distribute.  For a small donation. (that would be $20 and $25) And he’ll have membership applications available.   3 bucks to join!

And if you don’t like those t-shirts and posters of “Homosassa Red”, just move on down the row and make the same donation for an Old Homosassa Heritage Council t-shirt.  Or just put a small donation in that really cool mini-water-tower bank.  And we have a raffle for a Twisted Oaks Golf Course round for four.  That’s a nice golf course. You should definitely donate 2 bucks for a raffle ticket. And I bet there will be membership forms there, too!

Hey, we only need a little more than $40,000 to Save The Water Tower!  That’s 20,000 tickets.  Or 2000 t-shirts.  Or you can just donate a bucket of cash.

But I’m off to Banjo Camp!

So I was stalking hummingbirds and butterflies but only got a photo of a lizard. But lizards are way cool.  Almost like little tiny alligators with no teeth.

Have a great weekend!
