Did I say yesterday that was my last post from NYC? Whoops, forgot to show you the Dogs in the Hood!
Anywhere you go in New York City there are dogs. Big dogs, little dogs, fat dogs, skinny dogs. Dogs. Unlike Florida, dogs are welcome here. Why is the state of Florida such a hater? I even saw a beagle in the Jonathan Adler store in Brooklyn! Good taste my little beagle friend!
So here’s some pics from Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Where dogs are even allowed off leash!
Okay, truly, this is my last post from New York! Tomorrow is Maggie’s special holiday card and then back to blogging about Homosassa on Monday!
And another post from the City. Jes and Andrew recently moved into a new apartment and still have a ton of things to do (like that living room is totally crying out for roman shades) but that doesn’t stop me from putting up a tour of their home!

So after spending a weekend traveling extensively on the NYC subway system we watched “the Taking of Pelham 123” last night. Good thing we didn’t watch that before the big trip to NYC!
A word of advice to those that are prone to high anxiety, it would be wise to stay off of the subway during Friday evening rush hour. In comparison, a Saturday morning subway ride is almost pleasant.
Which is exactly what we did to get to our tour of the Brooklyn Bridge Park. And look at this view!
But I jump ahead in my story. First, here is the fire station we walked by on the way to the subway station.

Then, after our pleasant subway ride, we walked by Truman Capote’s house. Although, Mr. Capote probably doesn’t live there since he’s dead. Oxymoron?
And then on to Brooklyn Bridge Park.
This is the carousel that was on the news during Superstorm Sandy. The water was lapping at it’s edges then. It’s obviously okay now and mobbed by children on this beautiful day.
Ok, it doesn’t looked mobbed at this moment, you’ll just have to believe me!
And here’s a really big boat.

Then we found the map of the park! Besides the map being backasswards, you know how we hate the interchanging of the terms concrete and cement! They are not synonyms!

Have to say we had a glorious day in Brooklyn. And so much more to see. But that will be for another 48 hour visit!
