Bits and Pieces

Did I mention that it was hot on Saturday?  Yeah.  It’s Florida. In June. It was hot.

Here is our OHHC booth that we worked for two hours and sold t-shirts and raffle tickets for a golf cart.  All the donations go to restoring the Old Homosassa Water Tower.

Then we went to the mullet toss.

Then we went home to take naps before the fireworks.

And then it rained.

A lot.

So we decided that the fireworks would surely be cancelled.

And then we heard them go off about 9:40.

Whoops.

Scalloping season starts Saturday.

The 4th Annual Mullet Toss is on Saturday.

The Fireworks Festival is on Saturday.

The Poker Run is on Saturday.

And the Rotary is having a River Clean up day……

on Saturday.

All very popular events that bring incredible amounts of visitors into Old Homosassa when held on separate weekends.

Could be the Perfect Storm.

Just saying.

Terry and I will be working at the OHHC booth at MacRae’s of Homosassa from noon until 2. Selling tickets for the golf cart raffle plus those beautiful OHHC t-shirts. Then we are off to the Mullet Toss.  Nap and then fireworks at 9:30.
