Homosassa Christmas Boat Parade
Were you at the boat parade? Seems like at least half of Citrus County were lined up in front of the boat ramp, the other half probably went to Crystal River for their boat parade.
Lots of Christmas scenes on display.
Here we have a little smoke going up the chimney and Santa with his reindeer.
This boat had it’s own rhythm band of elves.
Carolers
Angels and reindeers
Away in the Manger
Seagrass Pub’s entry probably got the most applause with their salute to the military.
There were a lot of other entries and it was a great evening. Didn’t hurt that it was about 70 degrees and the Shed had the band “The Mighty Past Tense” performing.
Our next big outing will be the Christmas light show at the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park–one of our annual events. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth attending.
Homosassa Wildlife Park
We are regular visitors to the wildlife park, typically trailing behind grandkids that are running amuck. This time we took an adult leisurely morning walk around the park with the hopes of seeing some of the wild manatees from the viewing platform. It was cold last week which usually brings them into the warmer waters of the spring. Plenty of manatees and many other creatures were out enjoying the start of the day.
