Busy times in Old Homosassa

Yesterday’s paper announced that Gov. Scott moved up scalloping season to this Saturday!  Zowie!  So this will be our first crazy Summer weekend in Old Homosassa.

Here’s a couple peaceful pictures from last weekend….

View from the park to the spring, also known as the blue waters.  Lovely.

Not only does scalloping start on Saturday, there’s also fireworks on the river that night. July 4th is on Thursday so we have a lot of out-of-town people for the week. I’ll post some pics from the weekend on Monday.  Fun!

Summer Time!

We know summer’s here for two reasons.  First, both the temperature and the percentage of humidity is over 90!

Second, small people are showing up.

No matter which kids visit Perfect, there will be kayaking, boating, cooking, game playing, arts and crafts and a visit to the Homosassa Wildlife Park.  This week two of our grandkids, Courtney and Justin, were here for 3 days so we also mixed in some golf.

Next week, it’s Addy and Kendall’s turn.  More fun!  (Think I’ll need some rest before those two show up!)
