2016 Project 365

This is my second year of Project 365.  Last year I found it a bit of a challenge but the reward is a daily journal of photos. This year I’m not following along with an organized group.  I’m just making up my own rules as the year goes by!  I will try to post a photo a day.  But only if it’s a good photo that reflects a moment.  Or maybe I’ll post two photos for the day…or three…or none.

Hope you enjoy following along!

Right?  Oh, don’t think I’m abusing the pooch.  She gets about a quarter of what I’m throwing into the water!  And, by the way, I LOVE this snap of Maggie!

Senator Dean
Day 75, March 15, 2016, I had another photo for today but since I’m also trying to make this a journal of the year, I had to post that Florida Senator Dean crashed our meeting. He’s the guy with the pink shirt.  We are at the Gator Den discussing that he didn’t get us ANY AMENDMENT ONE MONEY for our little park on the Homosassa River!  LOSER!

Day 59, February 28, 2016, Ladybug
Day 58, February 27, 2016, Had to rebuild the trellis. And paint it. It still looks a bit crooked. But once the vines grow back, who will notice? Kind of putting it here on my daily photo journal so the next time it starts falling apart I’ll have an answer to “And when did we rebuild this?”

Day 53, February 22, 2016, Today I have two photos. Does that make up for missing days? Here’s a monarch caterpillar on a milkweed stem that is completely devoid of leaves.
So I moved a stem that had leaves close enough so the caterpillar could move over and have dinner. Then I started feeling like “did I mess with nature?” Oh no!
Two Eagles
Day 52, February 22, 2016, Two Eagles
fake gator
Day 51, February 20, 2016, Just like yesterday’s flamingos, this gator isn’t real. And I think it would look really cool in my backyard.

winter color
Day 22, January 22, 2016, Hey, who says we don’t have Fall color. Oh wait, it’s winter. Winter color. Very pretty no matter what the season!
Peace Lilies
Day 20, January 20, 2016, 34 degrees when I got up this morning but these peace lilies are still beautiful! I find these “indoor” plants amazing. Many many years ago I received a few pots when my dad passed away.  I planted them in the yard out of desparation because I wasn’t always there to take care of them. They get knocked back every winter but come back strong in the summer.
Day 19, January 19, 2015, It’s c-c-c-cold. Our favorite weather guy, Steve Jerve, said bring the pets and plants in. Shed and garage is full of plants. Maggie is safe! (Like Maggie has EVER spent a night outdoors!)
