Aftermath of just another tropical storm

MacRae's

Terry took a ride yesterday morning in the Jeep.  Just to see what he could see.

Oh, you do know that we had our first tropical storm of the season, right?

Someone named him Colin.  Because we need a name for our storms.  Like calling them our besties.  Oh yeah, me and Colin, this is what Colin handed us.

And we lost a large limb out of my favorite tree. The grandkids have recently started calling it the fairy tree. Cause why wouldn’t fairies want to live in my favorite tree?

Anyhow, we are okay. Cause our house is high and we keep our trees trimmed.  And we’ve been through this many times over the past 13 years in Homosassa and even more times when living in the Tampa Bay area since 1982.

Another lesson that the realtors don’t tell you when you are looking on the coast for your dream house!

Farewell Colin!

On the River

Maggie

Sunday is not our typical time to go out to the Homosassa River because it’s sooooo busy.  But Terry’s Mom and her friend Carroll were here and they asked to go out on the boat.  Shirley’s 91 years old and it was Mothers Day so we hated to disappoint them so we headed to the river fairly early and missed a lot of the congestion.
